ANKLA: Whisky Show Cancelled

July 31, 2008

ANKLA, the Los Angeles-based band led by former PUYA guitarist Ramón Ortíz, has issued the following update:

"We are very sorry to inform you guys that due to an unexpected situation we have been forced to cancel our show at the Whisky [A-Go Go in West Hollywood] this Thursday, July 31. We will be giving more details about it in the near future but for now we can say we feel immense disappointment because this is something completely out of our control and we were really looking forward to playing the new material we have been rehearsing for the last six months. SANGRE and DEATH PILOT, and others are still playing the show so go out and support those guys they have also been working hard for this show."

ANKLA recently announced the addition of new singer Eddie Macias to the group's ranks.

The band's debut album, "Steep Trails", was released in July 2006 through Bieler Bros. Records.
